"Supervised" the pouring of 55 yards of concrete today. The special part of it was that it was died black at the plant to make it blend in with the existing asphalt. The dye added ~$3k in expense to the 55 yards of concrete bringing the bill on the concrete to a fuzz under $9k.
I hauled a monster load of mud to my folks house. I'm not sure of the weight, but it was considerably heavier than my 13klb excavator in the same trailer.
Man thats cool. I wonder what they dyed it with? My grandpa made some black concrete for around a rock fire place by using black sand. Wasn't 55 yards!
I mix black concrete dye with epoxy to sometimes fill cracks or voids in wood. It can look fairly natural. It's very black, and a little goes a long way. One fairly small bag has lasted more than twenty years. A fine powder, it mixes very well.
The job is actually 65 removals,It was bid at $12,000 for three days. We may finish tomorrow though. I only had to climb one tree in the front. Everything else was one cut. 32 to go
