The three pics I got at the end today. Fifty feet of spar to rig down tomorrow. I might just cut frisbees and sacrifice a rhododendron. It was hot and miserable again. I need to get better at taking pics again. I’ve been slacking for quite a while.

Then, after work in the city, I went out of town (75 kim) and cut down a pine tree.

P.S. Today I heard for the first time an interesting version of when you see a thick piece of wood, and a bunch of sawdust falls from it. The woman who ordered this pine told me an interesting version. She says that when sawdust flies in the wind - it's wooden snow

No rigging today. Lots of small pieces carefully placed into the tiny drop zone. I have not destroyed the rhody yet. Had a good storm roll in and crushed my dreams of being done today

So befores of the last couple days victim. Two leads (one being a double) canyon live oak leaning at targets. Thinned some of the crown too. And raised the back side tad high for my taste. Butthe newer trees need room. At least I finally got to kill that garbage cypress planted right under the oak canopy.

Then some finished. Really hard to get proper pictures since the yard is so over planted.
Couple trees to guy tomorrow and its done. Dead wooded some pines today too.

Guy lines in. Basically using more established trees to hold the others up. Last storm, couple years back, pushed them over pretty hard. HO used a come a long to pull them back up and secured them with 1" webbing. That webbing is digging into the trees and were trip hazard as he went from the base of one to where he could place it in the other. Now, its done proper with dynamic cabling and slings that will be moved as the young trees grow. Probably every 3-4 years. High enough to not get clothes lined as well while walking about.

Gaffed my rope the other day, and that cost me about 25ft of my Tachyon. The local Ace had Sampson Vortex on sale. Got 200ft for $163. No shipping, no waiting, great deal. Gonna have to buy another rope bag though, coiling rope at the end of the day, when your arms and hands are shot is total 🐂 💩.

Getting close to time to replace my Unicender. It's starting to slip a little when used SRT, and my fatter rope is back in AZ with Little Brother Wyatt. I'll send him the current Uni because it'll grip that rope perfectly, and I'll spend the extra coin on the blinged out replacement, the one with the curved bollard on top and the wire bail on the bottom, which will be super nice in these Velcro oaks.
