The Official Work Pictures Thread

Them sure aint no weeping willow! I've never seen a willow like that, must be a PNW thing

We've been making some bat nesting cavities for a forester on the south end of the island, and today he called us down to assess some hazard trees near a memorial from king Frederik VII time (1848-63). We marked three beeches (all with kretzschmaria deusta) and a dozen ash for death, and I got to see the - to date - biggest Cerioporus squamosus I have ever seen!

- and the Forester wants as much standing dead wood left as possible, without being a hazard to the trail... No way I'm going up a tree like that without a backup line at least!
Most of the trees are leaning over the trail or a stream, so we're probably going to bring the ATV with winch and try pull them away, if we don't want to break our backs cleaning said trail and stream...

Sounds like fun!

Let's keep this thread in mind if you're doing some tricky/effective things:

Not sure if there is a thread out there, I looked (not too thoroughly) and didn’t see anything. Figured there should be one.
Just a place to show of some of the little bits, bobs, habits and techniques that make your climb easier or safer.
