I did some bat inspections for a proposed motorway in East Sussex years ago. God knows what would have happened if I'd found one.

U.K. Rich, I dont usually carry up a brass hammer (Thor) and wedges but some of these tops can get a Lil' feisty and have to go a certin way to not damage Cedars...I dont like the extra weight..lol

Some fantastic pics there folks.

Some vista pruning in Whitby today - this is the 2nd day working on these old decayed trees. The ash was too decayed to do anything other than remove the canopy. The sycamore we managed to reduce heavily, opening up that fantastic view

I might have bored that last one. It had pretty significant head lean and limb weight. Laid over fine but it took off a little early. Didn't help the loader guy pulled on it. . .

Lot's of select cut logging Gary, really opened up that area. Our native forests are usually pretty dark and dense, lot's of Hemlock competing with the Reds. . .
