Now, THAT is a proper puller!

I'd bet, putting 12,000 pounds on that thing would pucker your sphincter.

I have the smaller version 2 ton/4ton drag Wyeth-Scott and have used it a lot before meeting up with the endless line Tirfors . They don't indicate making larger. Tendency to backlash at times if you aren't careful, a bit of a learning curve with it. It's a well made tool, seemingly rather indestructible. The smaller one has cable, not Amsteel. I think the Amsteel is a great idea if it holds up. A lug through the woods for sure. I think the drag rating of 4 or 6 tons is somewhat ambiguous. I don't know about the Amsteel, but 5/16" cable, which is on the smaller version, isn't 4 tons SWL. I have moved some large boulders with the device as well, good to have in your arsenal. :) I made a wooden grip to fit on the end of the handle, I think it upped the cool rating and feels more comfortable to use.

Personally I like those no stress light jobs. And habitat is good for many things.
Today for me was a wall of vines around a fence line, no fun at all except selling 5 dead Bay removals all will fit through the chipper. It was a down pour as we finished so no after shot.

Today's Lz for the oak. It went better than I expected all but one shingle:banghead: note to self use the ply wood you have for just this scenario:rolleyes:

Here is a picture of using the kboom to pick a cherry tree.

Here are some from an old Mulberry we took down for a farmer. Tree was in pretty bad shape. There is a shot of me putting on a binder in the middle of the tree. It had a big split and was starting to open a little while I was rigging the top out. All in all it came down well though.
