The official "Welcome New Members" thread!

I never said I was a Canadian basher...I just support the aquisition of Canada as the 51st state. I mean how hard would it be? Their military force consists of BB guns mounted in row boats and Red Green is their version of Einstien...nothing against Red Green mind you...

Umm didn't we rumble way back when already? I thought maybe you guys were still scared of us? Why else wouldn't you just take us over?:P

Keep all that talk up and I'm gonna have to write to my MP about turning off the water, power, fuel, wood. Then we might see some action.

Hmmph. If I had my way y'all would be bailing them out again. Separate? If I was in charge I'd hand them their share of the per capita debt and boot them out.

NY...where we made fun of the Vermonters....met a girl over here in the Jeep club(shes originally from NJ) and moved over here...shes the crane operator now

Jeebus, just when you think it's safe to go back into the woods you find out there's folks from Boston and New York in them.
At any rate hey, I'm new to the treehouse. Name is Steve, I farm dairy goats and chop wood in New Hampshire

Welcome Steve glad you could join us.

Hello. My name is Chris. I am a fulltime ff/medic and on my days off I work for a small local guy doing some climbing and some ground work.

Great site, looking forward to a lot of reading and learning.

Cheers Chris,

(Thanks for clarifying where Homewood is.)

I suppose I owe a post, I've only been lurking for a couple years... :D I've contemplated switching careers in the past & going the arborist route, but haven't gotten there. Meanwhile, I'm getting into tree climbing for fun, and also do a little bit of trail clearing with some local 4x4 organizations on private land we maintain.

Anyways, looking forward to climbing soon, and until then, :)

A desk jockey trapped behind the desk... I'm a software engineer, but its getting old. However, the fact that my wife & 2 year old son are at home generally result in my pausing and thinking long & hard about possible career changes.

Howdy all!

Proud to be pruning in the US of A!

After seeing how things are done across the pond, well,,, let's just say I'm glad to be amongst my brethren proper...

Been in this game for almost 20 years now. Boy, how time fly's.. Currently working as private Chef and doing tree work for friends and family on my time off.

Learned pruning and rigging techniques from Ohio's finest! OCISA climbing jamboree entrant, competed thrice during the early and mid-90's,, finished top 10 each time.

Now living in sunny Florida with wife of 15 years and two daughters- 6 and 2.......

Welcome to the TreeHouse, Drella! We have several TreeHousers in Florida, moreso than any other state.

Are you a palm expert?
