I frigging love u tube. I learn all sorts of stuff of there that would otherwise take a lifetime. Like streetbiking and dirt biking. So many good skill building vids out there to help out. The days of trial and error are over for a lot of activities.
IMO there is an entire sub section of Youtube geared towards kids selling/promoting/reviewing toys of every make and model. Just like if you log into Youtube you can see porn. I am not condemning Youtube but just the shear volume of shows geared towards kids selling toys and other worthless crap. As a parent it's a little mind numbing.
Youtube sure has helped me with auto repairs. I can usually work my way through jobs, but seeing how things come apart and go together ahead of the work has been a great time saver, for me.
Maybe if you could freeze time. But in real time you could never view all of the content. This is a copy/paste seven years old. :
The search giant's figures show that one hour of video is now being uploaded to YouTube every second. That upload rate — equivalent to 60 hours of video per minute — represents an astonishing tenfold increase from its 2007 rate. About 30 percent of that growth has come in the last eight months, says Google.
