That is cool...I always have about 12 feet of 550 cord in my pocket, use it often...I used it last week at the dive team Christmas Party to extend Santa's belt so it would fit around his fat belly.

I dunno, I sweat through my pants and shirts all day, they don't rot. I don't think it's that expensive to replace.

I saw those para-cord bracelets and thought they where cool. You can make about 20 of them for about 10 bucks. lol Damn youtube videos had me making them all night a few weeks ago and I can't stand to wear bracelets! lol

The P-51. I have one of those around here somewhere that my ex used in Viet Nam in the late 60's. He always said it worked pretty good.

Cool idea on the boiling water battery charger, here I was trying to rig a potato and a lemon to do the same thing.

I was given one by a Vietnam vet, hes the same guy that taught me about treework and climbing. He died a few years back. I keep the p-38 on my keyring to remind me of him.

The p-38 can opener got the name because it took 38 little hits to open a can of c-rations with one .
The TL-29 made for the military was made by Camillus knife company .Others make it also .I've got a Klien version .I have no idea what became of the one I was issued .They also made a version made of all stainless steel with US embossed on the side that had 4 blades I believe including a can opener ,jack knife ,awl and screwdriver/bottle opener .Camp knife ,folding US .
I think Camillus is no longer in business .I do have that camp knife plus a bosons mate line knife with a marlin spike .
