Stihl 044/046 idle screw super loose?

Yes affordable but not OEM. If new carb is needed I wood go OEM - buy once,cry once. Some have had good luck with these chinesium replacements , others not so much. It’s a crapshoot using non-OEM parts imho. Plastic and other cosmetic parts ok 👍 to save a buck ... pistons / cylinders kit for $79.99 will not be used by Frankie

Well I have an update. Stopped by the local saw shop, shout out to horners in cottage grove. It turns out there is a plastic type piece that goes into the small hole perpendicular to the idle screw. He couldn’t find the $6 part on the computer though and said a piece of small diameter weed eater string works just as good anyway. This seems to be further proof of the Mandela effect, we split off into a reality where no one remembers that little piece including the computers :)
