Hey guys, need a bit of help with my new spurs. Don't know if anyone can actually help, or if I'll have to call Stein/Climbright, but here it goes.

I was trying to adjust the pads on them today, after climbing in them 3 or 4 times, and I couldn't get the bolts unscrewed. I tried both an 8mm and 5/16" socket, and it just kept slipping on them. Pretty sure its the right fit, nothing smaller will fit on them. All fours screws are like this, nothing wants to work on it. I don't remember tightening them this much, so I'm baffled as to how they got like this. Any suggestions that I can try to get these undone? Just the four screws that hold the pad to the shank. Thanks!

Or you could whack the socket lightly a time or two with a hammer this may break the bond. Sometimes with bolts tightening a touch may work too. Good luck. The joy of dissimilar metals!
