Yea I started learning when I was 9 or 10 years old, I've fooled around with lots of styles over the years, but mostly play, bluegrass, and folk music.

FYI, youtube has just about any song, just add "guitar lesson," the the title. If I'd have had this when I was a kid...
 
Thanks, I added that one to my farvorites, I need to get off of my ass and play more, use to play everyday, now maybe twice a month. :(

Jim and Jesse and the Virginia boys. I saw them once at a bluegrass festival near San Francisco. They tore the place up, and the hippies all went nuts. Beautiful harmonies, and wonderful musicianship. Unfortunately, Jim, the guitar player, has now passed on.

I don't play anything like I did, you know the saying "use it or lose it"
I was leaning the banjo in 1984, and had an accident. I injured my left thumb, damaged the tendons on the top side, had to have surgery. That is the hand I fret with, had to give up the banjo. It took along time to get to where I could even finger the fret board. I never gave up, and after about 2 years I got back to about 70% of where I was.
It's all about the enjoyment, for yourself, and others. Most people don't care if you play real good or not it's the fact you play.
