Songs I Like

No pandora here, but I've run across Town Mtn.

Having musicians as such a large percentage of my friends keeps suggestions for new listening experiences rolling in. :D

I live in a remote area Dave. No good radio stations, and damn all the commercials anyway. I played the same ten bands over and over for twenty years I reckon.......finally, I found internet radio. lol

I haven't listened to radio since the 70's Randy.
I bought recordings until internet got up to speed, and still do. Usually buy direct from artists when possible (they get more of the money that way).
I also hunt regularly on itunes for new stuff I might like by bands I'm already familiar with.

I agree, Randy. Pandora has led me to lots and lots of great music, it's a great idea.

Randy, I went to the web address in your signature... That's your site? I don't get it.

Not my site.....as in I don't own it. HL Supply owns it. I'm the moderator.

Another good tune......

This site, you guys, and the way Treehouse members treat each other made a huge influence on how that site is moderated. The one thing we stress is to treat each member with respect. If a person can't do that, they ain't gonna be posting there for long.

I saw this band at Bonnaroo a few years ago. Real good live.

One more. lol

This dude sounds like Waylon Jennings to me.

I've been digging Chris Stapleton and the Steeldrivers since their first album. I can't understand why in the world he moved on.......some of the cleanest Progressive Bluegrass I've never heard.

Randy, Chris was probably only making around union scale playing for the Steeldrivers. The fiddle player and her husband (on bass) own the band.

Being "the name" pays much more than being a hired gun.

He can make a lot more in the country circuit than in bluegrass also, as the audience is much larger.

I see Dave. That makes sense. His vocals sure worked well with that group.

This band makes me grin.......gonna go see them this winter.
