Songs I Like

Yea, seriously. Besides being a great performer, he wrote a lot of platnium hits and movie soundtracks. He played over 20 instruments like a master.

I never owned any of his music - not really my taste... but he was cool.
 
Some of the hit songs that he wrote for other bands much helped to propel them to stardom. Those girls in his band were talking about his work ethic, apparently practicing was a very important thing to him and they really powered through, getting it right but also being open to his bandmate's ideas. A well liked man is the impression, did things for others without seeking publicity. Seemed like he could reinvent himself during his career by playing different types of music, not many can do that. I like how he played his guitar, seemed free with it but also technically precise.

The entertainer has been done in a million different ways, my favourite is Itzhak Perlman:

It has been done on guitar by a gazillion different players.
Chet Atkins did a wonderful version and so did Stefan Grossman, but I couldn't find either, so you'll have to settle for this guy who does very well.
