hahaha al, a few pines out here to:D
we have such a variety of climate here al that some wouldbe fast growing and others on dry hill sides uber slow. and small
 
I just find it interesting . That variety of oak which I assume is the same can get large here .Not like a Doug fir but still in all a 100 foot plus tree ,4 feet in diameter is not small in anybodies eye .

As I mentioned though in another thread ,trees like the Lombardy poplar do not get large or live very long in this climate .

Al, neither lombardypoplar nor red oak are native to our area, but grow fast and well, as do sequoia and redwood and most all introduced species,e ven eucalyptus, now that we no longer have extended cold spells.


My wood could be growing well too...


..in keeping with the theme here......
