I didn't build it, but searching the model# says it's a butterfly. I think that's the better option, right?

Sounds like that's the better option. Spendy valve but seems like some are on ebay. I can't always tell the size since there isn't much of a description.

I have some schedule 40 aluminum tube that is the right size. I'll need to get it threaded.

Yea, when I researching building one, I was seeing ~$100 for a valve. I may not have been looking in the right place. Add in all the other stuff and my time, it didn't make sense when I could get one <$200.

Sorry. Read your other post too fast. The materials list made me think you built it. I had to look the current price up after reading your last two posts. And good grief! Have they ever gone up! I got mine for $150 on sale several years ago.

I think the sticker price when I bought mine was $225, maybe $250. I had coupons, so it came to $193/$205 with tax. I looked up my old email when build discussions started.

Wadding disks are a stiff, closed-cell packing foam. Prevents air leaking past the throwball so you get more range.

I run a machine shop and have a threading machine (s). I wonder what we could put them together for. Add a sight with protective bar over it.
