I know it takes some digging. Better than losing the motor though.
Just having that pump fail is bad. Why they made such an inferior design on such a critical item is beyond me. At least the fix is pretty bullet proof.
Dang things are still overly complex.
You can fix the major killers....all 7 million of those silly little o rings remain.

Why I like my Power Stroke. Still has damn o rings thou g h and it's oil cooler time.......
Buddy of mine is offering me his 2000 Dodge 2500 for 8k. I dont think it has 200 k on it. 5.9 in proper pre emission form. Very clean. I know he could get at least twice for it. Told him no monies current.
He might let me float money to it once I go back to work. We are in negotiation stages.
I want that truck to retire into.
Interior and exterior is damn near mint.
Has one ton suspension on it.
Never been modded or chipped as far as engine or drive train.
Than all I would need is a trailer to travel in to tow with it.

I'm surprised. Mass supposedly has new regs coming in January. Not sure if it's just heavy trucks, or all diesels.

My father in law has or had a early 2000s Hilux diesel.

That thing was great. He also had a diesel Surf.

We would call it a 4 Runner I think.

Now they can't get them because of tariffs I think.

Here is mine. Had a Hilux in the UK and bought one when I moved to Norway.

I have always had a Top on them for tool storage. Security and weather safe.

Edit: Balls, I forgot you cannot upload pictures.

The dark coloured one was in the UK.
