bought 2 green ball lock biners and hated them. They are a PITA with gloves on and one of then never did work properly after the first job. They soon found their way to the garbage!

I prefer the tri-action biners.

As far as northerners go...I live in southern Ontario...kinda like the Florida of Canada. Instead of DOT-Palm, I'd be DOT-Maple!

I always hated the old plastic gated Petzl's. I found the new ones quite easy to use. But, until (if) they retool, I'll not be trying anymore!!

Ive always hated the ball locks too. Too hard to use.

I like the dmm boas. Ive got one that is probably 9 yrs old and still functioning perfectly.

Boas are nice. I've got a few. DMM makes first class hardware.
