Oldest tree?

Looks like a Utah juniper ( juniperus osteosperma) to me.
Hard to tell from a photo, could simply be a very old Western juniper ( J. occidentalis).
 
It's amazing how conditions at the edge of a species' tolerance causes longevity in many cases.

fortitude comes to mind when thinking of enduring the High Sierra for season upon season, century after century, all in the exact same place.

It kinda looks like it likes it though :)
