Old Mixed Gas

I d believe that's a long term thing. 2.5 ounces of oil in a whole fuel tank on occasion is much less then the average burn rate of engine oil itself.

I generally go through more than a gallon a week.

Hardly used a rear handle in a week or two. Just found a 100 percent gas, high octane, source in town.

Dealer was emphatic that mixed gas will kill your CAT converter. He's probably talking from their perspective of all the machines that come through the shop with questionable fuel ,then what to do with it after draining the tanks & refilling fresh............

One of the car manufacturers won't do anything under warranty unless you are consuming more than 1 quart/1000 miles. That is a lot more oil going through your cat than mixing in a little mix gas.

That dealer was probably talking about running 100% mixed gas, not diluted.

I dump my gas about 6 weeks or if I need gas in the truck, 92oct or better with full synthetic oil. But I drive 100 miles a day to and from work each day. I haven't had any problems.
