Couldnt wait to break them in so went ahead and see what they were right now in 11" dry ash.

Poulan 3450 54cc broke in.

Poulan 3450 type 3 3750 60cc 2nd cuts only, not broke in after rebuild.

Poulan 380 60cc half tank through it after rebuild. Not broke in.

Stihl 034 036 62cc broke in.

Just always wondered how they compared. The 036 felt stronger in the cuts.
Same way I felt about the 3750 compared to the 262. 262 felt stronger. But the open port 60cc saws are right there in the cuts too.
The 034 036 feels so much like the poulans to me. Handling etc. Didnt care for the 262 in that department.

036 muffler modded and cant remember about the base gasket in or out.

380 muffler modded, no base gasket and some port work.

3450 3750 60cc muffler mod and base gasket in.

3450 54cc all stock muffler untouched. HDA 137 carb

Same stihl rs chain on all 4 - 3/8 7

Local came by and ran the 036 with the 16" set up in the stick. Smiled. He bought it for $250 on a payment plan. Plus I gave him a free used 20" es bar too.

1 down many more to go

I have ran the 5200 5400 older version before 8500 with 36". They cut goooood

52 54 85 85cc Reeds and the long stroke to me explain the torque of these in the cut. 1.562 in. (39.69mm) stroke
bore 2.066 in. (52.48mm)

compared to the 505 2083 82.5cc 54mm bore and 36mm stroke

Yesterdays pick up 90cc 42mm stroke. Now this I could get into I think. ;)

Bought PHO

A month or two ago I picked up a Stihl MS440 in awesome condition for $450. Even the bar and sprocket were in good shape. He had a new chain on it which he dulled in 2-3 cuts but I put an edge on it and have been using it quite a bit.

Have time to travel and pick up saws folks are wanting. So I find and pick them up and ship for a small fee.

Loving Retired life.
Was up on Erie wed perch fishing.

Will chit forgot the one I picked up for myself. Have heard about 4 of them knew about 3 of them and owned 2 of those.

Craftsman 3.7 60cc that IMO comes with to much bar.

Sold last one to guy that been looking for one for 2 years. Told him I aint married to no chainsaws.

Lucky it didnt run. Who ever tore into it forgot a circlip and base gasket or sealant for delete.

Ordered air filter, base gasket and ring Going to throw a new ring in it while it is down. Clean the piston up some too, instead of new meteor kit. Since it is K&S piston and cylinder no decomp with hda87 carb.
