Doing what appears to be a low hour 1991 65cc. Bought from owner that dealer couldnt get parts for. Dealer got hold of me and said his dad sold the saw new.
No problem for me getting parts. ;) Heck I even sent the dealer a part he needed for another saw.

Also updating tank and air filter set up to the better later ones.

Trying to decide if I want to leave it 65cc or take it to 71cc or 77cc

Piston and cylinder was like new. Witness line etc still like a new piston. So I left it 65cc.
Plus side was I just redid te 83cc already and have a 71cc going too. Well I still have a 65cc going too. So 77cc should be the pick if I do it later.

New tank and updated air filter set up.

Done and just finished test cuts in some ash yesterday.
Only thing I did was leave the baffle out of the muffler on this one. Just badazz saws for 65cc IMHO. Quad ports.

Left it 65cc due to being like brand new still. Plus having 71cc and 83cc running already. So still have 1 used and 1 nos 77cc topends if I decide later.

Should finish this 60cc up today. Cuts with the 036 360 361 262 etc. Built about the same too. ;)

I went ahead and picked up that 1 owner Partner S65 today. Guy bought it new Nov 1, 1985 for $399.99. Have receipt, warranty cards and all the books with the big IPL page.

I didnt want or need the saw but figure I will check it out and pass it onto someone that will want it.

Just sharing for those folks that used to run Partner before elux bought and ruined them.

Plus a old ad and 1983 price guide dealer cost and retail

Original owner said the oiler had quit working last time he used it this year.

Oiler works after my testing with bar and chain removed. \\:D/

I hate looking in this thread... Makes me want those Poulan branded Partners even more every time.
Now its easier as the S65 is not completely out of my grasp.

I'd love to have some of your partner branded ones in the 710 660 7700 etc too. 8)

I think out of the series the 445 = 710 is my favorite.

I don't know why I can't upload the videos here; I suppose I'll go thru the Tube.

I am impressed with the P100s like the one Randy now owns.

Cool Saws.

few 60cc 62cc and 54cc winter projects already done. Guess I need to find more now. Still a 54cc on bench waiting for piston to come in.

Watch was sent to me by a member on my website. Received it unexpectedly. He said when he seen it he new who to send it to as a gift. :D

Only working 2 days and 5 days off on real job for a month now. Getting ready to retire from real job in 2 weeks. \\:D/:dance:

If I sell back sick leave only get paid 50%. But if I call off 3 days a week I get 100% ;)

So time to work on things.

I'll probably hang it up in the spring .Damned near 50 years in the trade is probably enough and also next year I have to tie into at least 3 IRA's and they will tax me to death .I'm opposed to that .

Just waiting on the piston to come in before I tear this 54cc down too. 1 of 2 gaskets sets arrived.

Taxes :O yeah thats what I see in 2018 already for what I am pulling from my retirement in cash $. Told them to take state and fed and about :|: on the amount taken out.

Have 3 of these now and the #1 is such a ripper. 3 cube size in 54cc

I could clean this piston up and reuse. Cylinder I will clean up. New piston kit arrived.

3.3 LEFT side. Comparing to 330 set up on right.

Before after clean up. Cant find the before int side. But was full length about 1/4" or so wide right at ring pin location.

Cleaned by hand. Then ball hone to put in crosshatch going right and then left.
