It would seem that just having a device like that, gets you a leg up over most of the competition. More so in some areas.

Lets see the dump too!

Will have more photos of the dump soon. It was really easy to install. Drill two holes and bolt frame to bed. Run cables to battery and you are good to go. It works really great and a golf cart mechanic said he is going to get one for his truck instead of using a trailer.

Im not seeing the benifit of the truck dump, I guess fast install .
What am i missing.

The benefit is:
1. Easily transferred to another truck if you sell the one it is mounted on.
2. Yes, fast install.
3. I rather be able to dump debris instead of unloading it by hand.
4. I can put the box on the ground and pick up the debris.
5. I can put the box on the ground, pick up equipment such as a stump
grinder, mini skid, etc., eliminating the need for a trailer.

I just see it as far better than having just a pickup bed.

The standard lift is $135,762
options on my lift are:
Automatic Outrigger Leveling $2456
Hydraulically Adjustable Tracks $6250
Electric hydraulic motor $4680
Forestry package (20hp instead of 17, more steel protection) $3850
Custom trailer $8650
Shipping from MA to HI $9825
Shipping cargo insurance $798

I am receiving a discount because this is the 2nd machine I am buying, but I am not at liberty to say how much the discount was.

I already had an equipment trailer to haul around my 15GT and I did not like it at all. It was slow to load and unload the machine, it was not as secure and my biggest problem was it was too wide. Almost all these equipment trailers are 102" wide. Narrowest ones are usually 96". The standard Teupen trailer is 96" and the one I special ordered is 80" wide, same as my 3/4 ton truck. I am doing a job on Monday up a narrow mountain road where making the turns would be questionable with the 102" wide trailer. I know my new trailer will be no problem.

Yesterday we had the demo at the high school and they opened only 1 of the double gates. My trailer was able to go through it with about 10 inches clearance on both sides. If I had my equipment trailer, I would have had to stop, get out and swing the other heavy iron gate open. On some of the narrow lanes we have, my old trailer would actually have the tires touching the white lane dividers on both sides. The dedicated trailer is designed specifically to carry the spider lift, so it is quick to load and unload, tie down and be very secure. It has the best trailer jack I have seen on a trailer, spring loaded drop leg that you can lower or raise with your foot. No need to pull out a pin by hand.

My old equipment trailer (10K GVW) cost me $6900 in 2006, so this one is not that much more. You also need to keep in mind I live on the most isolated land mass in the world. Shipping stuff here is extremely expensive and trailers are not cheap here like they are on the continental US. In 2006 I was going to buy a Texas roll back trailer for the spider lift. It was around $4000, but the shipping quote I got from TX to HI was $3950.

Well ok you make a good point. I forget you have to have everything shipped or flown in.

To bad you don't have any connections with the military, they could have parachuted it to your front doorstep:D

Carl,
Do you have the dedicated Rayco trailer for your grinder?
