So I call this guy because curiousity got the best of me. I'm thinking he has some timber and wants $5-25 bucks a pop depending on the tree. Sounded to me like there could have been a little coin to be made.

He tells me, "Yeah, they're all growing over my house and shed and pool and I think I'm entitled to make a few bucks letting someone take them down." Than goes on to tell me "I just really want to let a good company do it so they do a great clean up job. I dont mind them leaving the stumps but all the brush has to be chipped and raked up."

I politely wished him the best of luck and declined any further interest in the matter.

HAHAHAHAHA:wave:

Dallas is also a small town near me here in northeast Pennsylvania

The fun thing would be to buy it with a carefully but simply worded written contract and then NOT cut them....with the power to sue for your "loss" if he lets anyone else cut YOUR trees.

BRILLIANT........and no I dont have incredible restraint. Restraint isnt my strong suit. But, I have worked hard to make good strides there.

Had i gone all the way to his house and had this idea pitched at me.........well, that could have gone a few different ways.

Well I guess it's a good thing you screen your sales calls over the phone first!

Brilliant idea, Justin. And you're just quick enough and smooth enough to pull it off! :/:

Now why haven't I thought of this?

Hi, I just trimmed some redwood branches and was wondering if anyone would be able to shred and use them in their yard or garden. It's a pretty good sized pile (appx. 3' x 6' and about 4' high) that needs to be ground down. All the branches have been cut into small enough pieces that they should easily be able to be fed through a chipper without any additional sawing. Also, no limbs larger than several inches thick. So maybe you have a hungry wood chipper that hasn't been fed in a while. Bring it along with you and shred 'em here or take the pile home, which ever suits you best. You pick up in Rohnert Park, off Country Club and Golf Course. Please call to arrange a time. Open availablility from late mornings to late evenings. If it's not gone by next weekend we're hauling it to the dumps. Hope someone out there knows how to make the best of nature's treasures and will seize this opportunity. I'd feel a lot better about it than just having to dump it all. Thanks for your time. Have a good day. Joe - 588-8048

I guess I was wasting my money buying a chipper.
