They aren't native to this area but a couple game wardens brought some here from out in the middle of the state and got'em started back in the 20s. They spread like fire. I have my own patch growing down by the spring where the sun never shines, started it 30 years ago and their doing great. I like to eat'em but I LOVE to cause trouble with'em. You either love'em or hate'em. The people that love'em are married to the people that hate'em. I've had enough fun with them ramps to die a happy man. Yeah, I'm twisted...
