Morbark 2050 Clipper chipper

Getting knives are no problem for the 395 and that certainly looks like one. Other stuff, except for the sheet metal, are standard hydraulic and Yanmar diesel parts. It is a great chipper and light, just under 3000 lbs. If I could find one in real good condition, I would buy it.

Skwerl,
Regarding the drop in shipping rates. Not true for Hawaii freight. Matson raised their rates in January and it is going up again by about 3% in a week or so.

Matson definitely has a monopoly here so they can pretty much charge what they want, unfortunately.

M B Company is making parts for Gravely right now. The place where I used to work ran a 395 and it was a great little machine.

Short bit of history.... Gravely was bought by Airens and eventually sold off the chipper line to M B Company. All of these companies are located with in 30 minutes of here. M B Co. is currently developing a new line of chippers. Parts are available and are fairly reasonable. M B Co. is a good company to work with. By the way, the 395 looks nothing like the 395 that I used... but who knows.

Hey Jon, how about this one, it looks sweet!: http://equipment.treetrader.com/index.php?a=2&b=3133 :D

The whole chipper swivels so you can feed from either side. It would be tough to get into tight spots though.

I think he made a mistake on the price though. It's a 10 year old 9 inch chipper, for pete's sake. It might be worth 1/3 of what he's asking for it.

 I agree, he'll be disappointed with a lack of interest methinks.

I could see it going for $15k max, provided it's as clean as the first picture makes it out to be.

Heavy period I bet, looks like alot of tongue weight etc. bet it would kill anything less than a one ton in a hurry. Cool idea though.
