If this works, it will show basically how I take the pictures. A burst shot of 10 pics at 10fps, it repeats in reverse in the gif. I am actually moving the camera in the opposite direction that you think to change focus. It's a view of a little dead pine twig. Strangely the gif maker added clusters of red dots.

I haven't saved up for fancy editing software yet, so I have to settle for water marks and shallow depth of field. I sampled Alien Skin which is a lot like lightroom, which I've also tried, and I really like the clarity and vivid features. I think I prefer Windows photo gallery for sharpening and/or noise reduction, I can't remember which. Alien Skin had a blow up program where I'd make 72 megapixel pictures. It just costs too much time and money to buy and master the editors I want.

Here is my first try at a video with my WX220. It has a flaw where it over exposes both pictures and videos. Notice the pine needles for size reference of the little light colored mite.

And here's my best video below, only view it in 1080HD. The wind made it shaky. I used the HX80 where I could set the aperture to f8. I had to reduce the play speed some, and use a stabilizing feature to reduce the minuscule shaking from my young steady hands.

WARNING, these bugs are UGLY, with ugly parasites on them too

I think they are some kind aphid since they are numerously under leaves and frequently visited by ants. First time I've seen them

The hairy eyes on these aphids are what's ugly to me, if those are the eyes. Some insects have false eyes.
