Local Crane Operator Fatality

It's a spooky feeling to do a job just after a friend's accident...especially a similar one.
Words are so insufficient, sorry Butch.

I just finished slaying two hackberrys with a crane, close to energized lines... needless to say.

More on the story; supposedly the job was complete, but there was a hanger and Randy was attempting to dislodge it with the boom. That's all I have - I've yet to talk with an eyewitness.

That makes it all the worse... details in this biz are crucial.. I just heard a bolt came off a chipper and was taken to the head, instantly killing the victim..

I can't stop thinking about my friend, Randy. We've done a ton of work together. I was halfway spooked working my way up a big dead pine wed... you just don't know WHAT's gonna happen from day to day.

I sure hope you're in a better place, my friend. :drink:

It's a bumpy ride sometimes, but things will get better, they always do. No doubt your friend is at peace, and he will always be remembered fondly by those that shared the gift of having known him. He still lives inside you.
