I"ll carry some extra stuff, but nothing too much. And extra couple slings and biners, hand saw, chainsaw, bloodstopper, hitch cord and pulley. A bit more on occasion as the tree dictates, like a BMS Belay Spool. A bit of gear is only a small percent of my body weight, plus clothes, shoes/ boots, helmet, so I don't think its a big deal. Its more work sometimes to haul up a 8-10 pound rope repeatedly to heights with my arms than carry a little more on the go, propelled by legs. Often only having one groundie, its better to keep him focused and working clearing the DZ than running to the truck and digging for something I could have foreseen needing. I am often waiting on the ground crew, whether I have one or multiple groundies, as it is.

No worries, hard to keep track of which side of the planet I'm on!

IN Tas I wear an Edelrid Tree Magic, with the same bits, 2 spare biners, 2 loop runners, 14' lanyard and zubat/felcos in a weaver scabbard plus the first aid kit.

I rock a liger converted weaver cougar, I think there's pic's on Nicks thread about the conversion. Of course a bleed pack, cari tools, and some other gear depending on the job and what were doing.

I can't play videos, drip feed dialup, slow computer and need to download some player thingy...give me the short version!

Sorry Fiona, I forgot. Essentially, it involves replacing the stock Weaver Cougar bridge with a pair of CT rigging plates and a rope bridge.

Ta...

Sure butch, plenty of broadband, DSL wireless, 4G...but what you gotta pay...make your eyes pop out.

And I'm sure your typo was a typo right...(hehe)

... that coversion thing kinda ends up looking alot like my Buckingham Puma ... special ordered mine with steel Dees. Always wanted a short rope bridge saddle. Just an opinion but I believe Buck does a better job on materials and manufacture.

... too much bridge resulting in shorter pulls ascending was a problem ... the highly adjustable Puma really is a step up ... though not perfect it still stacks up as a great improvement over my first two saddles... also I base my opinion on Weaver vs. Buck on W's equine products as well, it just seems Buck will last longer
