Thought about trying them but they seem to complicated for me. Not to mention, I like having steel snaps for added weight to toss and the added durability.
I am sure you get used to them. They have been around long enough now and I have not really heard any big knocks against them it terms of debris messing with the action.
I have two; one has developed a tendency for the # 2 and # 1 levers to jam - the edge of one dives under the other; have straightened it out a couple times and it lasts through a few climbs.
Now I can't use either without checking that it is locked, which is not a bad habit...

No complaints really here, used one for a few months on a lanyard. Switched over to a triple locking biner when I made my new lanyard, just wanted to try the biner out, loving it so far.
