identify this ring?

Does anyone recognize the manufacturer of this ring? It only says Made in Italy. Would it fall under the currect guidelines of a "stamped" ring?

The Stamp should also include the strength rating and manufacturer info.

If you throw it into the glowing coals of a fire, the missing letters may show up.
If they don't , get rid of it.

Except for the yellow color, it looks like a CT ring: http://www.climbingtechnology.it/en-US/work/rings/light-alloy.html?idproduct=341. They are the only Italian mfgr of arborist rings that I know of. Kong rings are no longer made in Italy.

I think they started stamping all the necessary info on them now. Not sure, though.

Is that one steel or aluminum?

It's aluminum, and the yellow is the coloring from the camera. It's totally silver. The store I got it from said the whole ring thing was overblown and not to worry. Nick, I'm thinking of using a DMM large ring for my bridge. Do you have any?
