I hate to say it, but I think it's time to retire or rebuild my New Tribe saddle after 17 years. Although it's aged, everything is still in good shape. Only thing I have had to replace are the leg pads. Both flippers on the stainless clips broke years ago, but there are plenty of rings to hang accessories on so it never bothered me.
So, to commend Tom Ness and his workmanship on one of the first generation work saddles, my hats off to you. That green belt never let me down, has been worked almost every day and the most comfortable saddle I've ever worn. Might be one for New Tribes antique shelf.
Some of you are probably saying, "What the hell! 17 years?....
.... Yeeeep !
Anybody ever own and work one that long ?
