Marc, I'm not really building stumpers any more, to busy on another project. But I can vouch for Dave as a thoroughly decent person to do business with, and I think he's taken the concept further than I did, his version has quite a few refinements over the original. I would 100% recomend him for a machine. If you need assistance or advice, I'd be happy to help.

Willie, for remote operation, its the miniskid that would have to be remote operated. I know ramrod do remote kits, not sure about other mfg's

Thank you, I trust what you say.
My concern is the long travel. I'm not used to buy heavy equipment so far from home. I already bought some goodies in USA but it was small things like chainsaw parts, climbing gear or books.

Couldn't you rig a manifold/valve that plugged into the accessory ports that could be run remotly?

it uses the bucket crowd for depth and the second service for slew. It also needs the miniskid drive for forward travel through the stump.

Replace the whole valve block with a radio remote system, and have the mini full radio controlled. Imagine that, you could run the whole job from the tree! Drop a branch, drag it to the chipper........

....from the tree? Surely you mean from sitting in the truck? :/:

I don't know if the customers would want to pay you if you are sitting on their patio sipping an iced tea dragging brush remotely.

The Omnex controller on the sawmill would certainly be capable of running the mini-skid remotely.
