GRCS purchase questions ....

Mine is #345, but it is the second one and has the new capstan. I forget what # the first one I had was/is.

..... #1035 , about the time I get to work ... ordered a brand new line to dedicate to the winch only .... I thought that I'd use my current line up of rigging lines .... but when I actually saw the winch , the quality materials and workmanship (not to mention design) ... I figured NEW rope time !

Carl I was reading an old thread. That Samson Validator rope @ 1/2" is $6/foot! How long of a hank do/did you have?

But on a GRCS, a high-mod rope like that is the shiznitt. You pull the slack out by hand and once you start cranking, the piece moves almost immediately. No stretch at ALL.
