I was sawing though a hollow hickory trunk of a tree that just got dropped. Kept seeing a spray of red come out of the saw kerf. It was squirrels running through the trunk and running into my bar and chain.

I've seen bats a plenty. They appear quite disoriented when suddenly exposed to sunlight, crawl around for awhile before remembering that they can fly.

The funniest one was not a tree squirrel but a den of ground squirrels .I dug right smack dab through a den of them in about December with a Ditch Witch trencher .Spit em right up on top of the ground ,didn't hurt a one of them or wake them up .Of course they did wake up eventually .Staggered around like they were half drunk and scurried off totally confused . What the flock happened ,ha .
