This was odd but...

The house is vacant and on the market
Our client was the realtor selling the house
They decided they'd have an easier time selling it if we left the trunk standing.

So don't ask me rhe logic, but there is still a 15' tall crumbly trunk standing there.

It was $600 for what we did. Another $200 for the trunk if done on the same day, and another $400 for the trunk of we come back later to get it.

I priced it before I realized how light the stuff was. Palm is usually quite heavy and this is Washingtonia filifera which is one of the thicker trunked palms out here.

Dumb realtors...who wants to see half a dead palm? A prospective buyer would only think...crap I have to pay for someone to remove that...no curb appeal in a dead palm.

In this case, I side with the realtor. The place was neglected, super overrun with weeds, decades-old citrus trees were dying from lack of water for so long, awnings were falling apart, concrete pavers and edgers were all cracked, etc.

Whoever buys this place has a huge project ahead of them. The palm truck will be a small item on a long long list.

However, I agree. I've see. So many realtors do so many dumb things.
