Monkey for Hire
There are a few videos on YouTube on how to make one with a thrift store basket ball.
Still doesn't explain why you don't have extra rope...Definitely get a Thai rope though for anyone looking to jump rope
Hard to explain the difference until you go back to skinny rope.
When I was training in Thailand we used to run 8km -12km in the morning and then skip for 30 minutes before training. Same in the afternoon. Afternoon session was then followed by 6x5min rounds of bag work. 5x5mins in the ring with a trainer. 45 minutes of clinch work and then 45 mins sparring. Rounded off by 200 sit-ups and often 300 knees on the heavy bag. Killer workouts, 6 days a week.
Sunday was day off so we went to the temple for a sauna.
My feet, shins and body took a while to get used to it.
It was in 2002 though so I was a bit younger.
Crap quality picture but a period in my life I will always look back on fondly.

DittoThe plunge is strange. I despise it every morning but feel great when it’s over.
