I'm always impressed by the professional look of your videos.

Awesome vids Gerry.... That rope walker is a must for me for sure. I love the ease in which it works... Nice shot and commentary on the positioning with the flip line also.. I really need to start adding your vids to my arsenal of information. Thanks again mang :)

Awesome. What kind of chest roller do you use, and is it necessary?

In the double line system the chest roller isn't necessary for ascending to the work, but just hanging in the line and running a chainsaw it makes it more stable for the climber to operate one. Safety reasons there.

Any chest roller will do, I started with a Simmons roller years ago for single line work and then went to the Rock Exotica, a much finer piece of machinery. Though I know some climber that will use a caribiner in place of the roller.

A great vid, again. Can i be nit-picky? At the beginning you mention you're climbing on poison ivy. Isnt the rope dragonfly (fly). I could be wrong, though.

I've been meaning to buy the rock exotica chest roller for a while now!

You could be right, Nick. That rope was given to me at the Redwood Climb in 05 and I though it was the PI then.

That be the roller I used in the vid, but out of view of the cam. You know what, the cost wasn't anymore than the Simmons, and it's twice the quality.

Gerry, do you think a Croll would work in place of the second Pantin? I was thinking of buying one anyways so it would be great if it could do double duty.

I just checked the price of the Pantin and discovered it's gone up $25 since I bought my first one!

A Croll or a Basic would serve the purpose as well. I just used the pantine because it was an extra, and it happened to be the lighted in my kit.

If that was the Tree Fund climb, it was poison Ivy. Thats when it first came out. Tobe sent some out with Mike Teti and joey Cornell.
