Whatta wide throat!! No need to cut crotches with that thing? Hard to tell how tall the throat is. Could be worth a test run, if you can get knives/ anvils for it. A coat of paint and it could look good.

I don't see that working out. My thoughts are that it is limited to small wood diameter. At that rate, why drag around something that heavy.....?

My internet scouting says it is made for pallet disposal. Weighs 10k lbs and the discharge is 10 feet in the air.

Seen one in action. Before big hog horizontal grinders appeared, these were built for grinding pallets. Easier than getting a tub grinder in.

Justin (Stumper) was pretty knowledgable about Olathe machines.

If it works the same way as the ones we have here, it uses flails to hammer everything into little pieces.

Friend of mine has one, he converts old lumber into "chips" for furnaces.
That thing will bend a long steel gate hinge into a surrealistic sculpture and spit it out, no damage to the machine.

But if you run brush with leaves on through it, it produces something akin to green baby food.

When ever he actually needs to chip something, he'll borrow my chipper.
