Tool boxes is a major thing for me. The chip truck mentioned at the top of this thread had one long side box, the other was broken, and any storage in the dump bed was removed for more chip capacity. So basically everything (saws, rakes, blowers, rope...) had to be thrown way up in the back, then out at the job, then in afterward, then out before dumping, then in to go home. The last truck I had used was slightly bigger, well maybe twice the capacity, but it didn't look it to me. It had 3 level full width storage behind the cab, long 2 door side boxes, and a long cavity down the side of the box big enough for a slim guy to crawl into. You could about store enough tools for 2 crews in that truck and rarely worry about having to dump mid job.

Ty, what's your unloading method going to be?
Teen labor?
Load handler 3000?
Both allow a mini in the bed.

I chip into my service body-chip box so little that I haven't bothered trying to make it easier to unload, while mini-loader capable.
I forgot about having a load handler from forever ago. Might check it out.

Must box in the area forward of the wheel wells/ over the top of them, otherwise the chips will lock behind them.
