If a lanyard doesn't get in the way when climbing, what makes it seriously get in the way in a bucket? Bringing in brush?

Greg, as municipal crews, are your workers required to use two hands all the time?

I wonder if there is any regulation against a breakaway as it could possibly overload the bucket. If I'm concerned about a saw snatcher, I will cut extra carefully and/ or disconnect.

I've had the saw pulled from the scabbard once or twice while moving through branches where the lanyard saved the day.

The thing is problematic for us is the girth hitch that joins the two lanyards gets jammed time to time between the bucket and boom (not the actual tube part) when going for a long reach. It is easily freed, but interrupts the rhythm slightly an is a minor annoyance. Let annoyance than being without the saw until the budget allows purchasing an new one, and filling out an incident report and being questioned by people how have no idea how to do our job about if we know how to do our job as safely as possibly (oh, and take care of countless trees between two guys all across western Washington).
