The cost for the Super Deck is a little over $4200. The mesh sides add $1100, plus shipping to where ever it needs to go.

To have a pick up dump installed here using my bed would be about $3500. To change to a flatbed dump would be $8100. I started looking for dump inserts so I can remove it and install it in another truck if I ever sold my present one. I came across this system and liked the idea of a mini hook lift. I could load my mini loader without the hassle of setting ramps or towing a trailer. Having the box on the ground would enable the mini to load over the sides. Having 2 boxes would allow the truck to go dump one while the other one is being loaded.

I have never been able to load more than 1500 lbs of brush in a pickup with staked sides 4 ft. high, even after we chopped it up real good. Most all of the brush loads run around 1100-1200 lbs. 2000 lb. is plenty. I do have a dump trailer capable of carrying 8020 lbs payload for logs and other stuff. This will be good for the small pruning jobs. Beneath the deck is several inches of space to put rakes, pruning poles, etc.

My pickup has a lot of storage space since I removed the back seat and put shelving in it.

I did own 2 pickups that used the pickup bed to dump. I did not like that so much as stuff would get caught behind the wheel wells and the bed would start to widen in the back. I could tell because the space between the tailgate and bed kept getting bigger, eventually making the tailgate hard to close.

Thanks Wesely. It sure seems like a nifty system. I'm going to keep it in mind for the future.

Meanwhile, I keep dreaming of minis and dumping beds...
