But they have a nice bucket truck! A guy I used to climb for would do things like that consistently and saw absolutely no problem with it. He would berate me for wasting my time putting a notch in a heavy leaner instead of just back cutting it until it fell over. Too many guys like that out there doing treework for a living.

There may have been a dutchmen left, or it may have been that he just didn't cut it quickly enough. The tree is Bigleaf Maple, which barberchairs as bad or worse compared to any other species I've cut, and it did have a significant head lean.
