Anyone in a band or play an instrument?

I'm surprised it came with flatwounds. I can't decide if I like them or not.

Flat seems to be most popular. I always liked rounds more myself. You can always try a set of round wound next to decide which you like better.

My 5 string has rounds. I just think flats don't have near the punch.

I tried flats once........did not like.

I buy the brightest D'Addario round wounds I can get.

Liked Prisms the best, but they dont make them anymore.

I dont think so, but I dont go through strings like I used to.

I used to break Ernie Ball strings so I stopped using them.

I have a nearly new set of Fender Nickle flats for sale! Installed once, played twice....removed!

They are pricy flatwounds that sound like roundwounds.

Flats would be cool if they had a punch... these are supposed to have that.

I'll try those next if the tapes don't work out.

I have a couple of those. I wanted something with a broader range while tuning.

The Korg is pricey, but worth every penny.

I use a cheap Korg about the size of a deck of cards.

Got two calls this morning:

One form an ex band-mate that wants to get some guys together and jam once a month or something and wants me on fiddle.

The other from another member of the same band who asked me to play bass on a couple gigs in Dec.

I gave a emphatic yes to both...I've been looking for playing situations I might enjoy.
