another new one , sheared the brake handle 357XP

sooooo .... will another handle out of the garage , say from a 372 parts box or a running 55 fit or am I going to have to order one ???
 
Probably sheared off the little recessed cross on where it joins the chain brake male cross. Plastic to metal.
Might want to check the brake to see if it is not all locked up in either position if this happened from trying to engage or disengage the brake.
 
I've had the brake set on a low stump cut .Going away nicely then out the blue you think the saw is broke or something .
 
If the cross is just rounded, so it slips over instead of turning, you can cut it staight again. This I have done a couple of times.

First time when a customer complained it was too narrow for his hands when he had gloves on.
He had huge hands and gloves....
