I would have sent you the OEM last week butttttttt The one on Rob's 345 broke at the attachment point. Soooo I have to give him the extra off the parts saw.
Baileys or your dealer will have a new one for 20 clams.

I've heard of 'bust a move', but how do you "shear a brake"?

Probably sheared off the little recessed cross on where it joins the chain brake male cross. Plastic to metal.
Might want to check the brake to see if it is not all locked up in either position if this happened from trying to engage or disengage the brake.

It broke when I was flushing a small stump next to a few longs ... It engaged the brake ...

I've had the brake set on a low stump cut .Going away nicely then out the blue you think the saw is broke or something .

If the cross is just rounded, so it slips over instead of turning, you can cut it staight again. This I have done a couple of times.

First time when a customer complained it was too narrow for his hands when he had gloves on.
He had huge hands and gloves....
