My friend/neighbor sold their house. The new owner wanted the Jenn Air gas stove gone. We don't have gas service yet but propane is available.

I want to get a tank and hook up the stove and a h.w. heater. Right now my oil boiler provides the h.w..

Gas service is getting closer but who knows when it will come down our road.

For years, my friends have worked off 5# propane tanks, instead of electric.


New-tech Electrical Induction stoves are badass. My friend's was around $1200. Done. The electrical induction heats metal pans, not heating conductively or radiantly through a coil or glass range-top.

I like a good wood fire for grilling, smoking, and using a dutch oven. But gas for me I detest electric for a stove top.
