Think a 395 has enough to pull a 48" with skip (404)? Seems to pull my 42" no prob. but a 48 is kind of a leap from 42.

I would say that it depends on the kind of wood you use it in.
In Scandinavian hardwoods, no way!

That's the same combo I'm running on my 394, Al; 48" .404 skip. Pulls fine in our New England hardwoods, even.

I doubt seriously if hardwoods in the north country of Europe are any harder than ours . Then too Husqvarna is Swedish and certainly doesn't just cater just to north America . Although most likely simplely because of the size of the wood they wouldn't often be used with long bars .Once again though even in the this country a long bar doesn't see much usage .

Geeze though in trying to find a 48" for an 084 Stihl the prices certainly have gone up from several years ago,wow .:O
