If I knick my climb line or damage it that is deemed unsafe to climb then I just cut the bad section off. Then buy another rope if needed. I usually buy at least one new climb line a year. So I now have several set ups ready to go for different situations. Much more efficient than dealing with all the extra rope. Always good to have a back up if your doing it for a living as well.
