I thought I remembered reading canola gelled up in cold weather. Never used it myself.

I picked up a ring like that at a yard sale for a couple bucks. Probably not quite that big. Nice junkyard.

I think only the hoses are really vulnerable. Working in trees/brush it probably is easy to snag them.

The first scratch always hurts the most, doesn't it? Nice machine. A local I know got a town contract for stream and bank clearing. He has a full size excavator he runs without a thumb. I asked him why no thumb, he says just one more thing to break. I think it is more the several thousand...

That is kind of a crazy system. I have seen it done but never tried it myself. Was the roof on or is it new?

Brendon, Nice truck and the house looks good. Is the dormer a new addition or just sided? What kind of roof is on the dormer?

Mig welding isn't so bad upside down. With the wheels off it wouldn't seem too hard to brace it up.

Tandem axles will walk over a small chock no problem. Needs to be a healthy sized chock. A friend had his inboard/outboard roll back into a concrete wall. Took out the outdrive. Costly lesson.

Yeah, ifn they charge you all the customs and related BS to get it in the country. They don't make it cost prohibitive for Jay and Stig to order from here. Politics.

Very good price. Hard to lose anything on that deal. I would pull the wheel bearings unless you are sure they have been repacked. New bearings sure beats a new axle.

Sprortsman Guide used to have really good deals on surplus. Not so much anymore. Occasional good deal. Their service is suspect at times also. Hard to get good help.

I think I might try making one of those hookaroons. Looks like a handy tool and not to hard to make. Have to look on their site and see how much they want. Sometimes it just aint worth it.

They have sanctioned trails around you? I have a trail that goes through my land I am getting real close to shutting down. The morons ride when it is sloppy wet and rut it all up. Then a couple weeks ago I tried to get a side by side to stop to tell him where I preferred he ride and the chump...

I would think stakes in two directions. Just a guess. Duck bills or screw ins would work with a cable, but it would be a pain if you have to mow around them.
