Apparently it takes little to qualify as a “scientist” nowadays… https://www.ndtv.com/science/scientists-confirm-earths-core-has-slowed-dramatically-now-moving-in-reverse-6051284

I understand what you’re saying, Cory. I have been my main hindrance through the years. I like “small” business. Back when I was roofing, I was once booked a year in advance. I never had more than three helping, and the vast majority of the time it was just one. I could have hired two crews and...

    How'd it go today?

Made a short day at work, so put in about 30 minutes or so with the maul. I brought home three cuts off a dead white oak we took down a few weeks ago. Cut each into four sticks. Finished splitting the last seven rounds today. Six of them filled the bucket.

Dump trailer rental is fairly common. Lots of folks making coin doing it. Some are fairly professional…some not so much.

Yeah, I considered a cut-off switch at the battery so that the cable is not hot all the time. At least a cut-off somewhere beneath the bed of the truck, short of the end.

Dave, do you crimp or solder the Andersons on?

Got a link to those connectors? I’ve been thinking of running a line to the back of my Ram and using Anderson connectors on the end. When I got my Load Trail dump trailer in May 2016, I didn’t charge it for almost a year. The truck kept it charged until the battery began to weaken. Same with my...

So he doesn’t want you to mail them loose in a box…he wants them mounted on a nice piece of wood before you mail it. Some folks are so easy to please! 🤣

Mine last generally until they rupture from freezing and the ice cutting a hole in them. Last one’s lasted several years now. Been waterlogged at least three years. I’m procrastinating the tank, as I want to replace pump, tank and well house all together.

The term I recall the old-timers using was “waterlogged”. The older tanks (before the diaphragm), waterlogged regularly.

Finally got a small upgrade added to the Big Tex. Added a winch remote so I can dump from the truck. I’ll do the Load Trail later. It’ll take diodes since it’s power up/power down. Nice touch for less than $20! Checked it from inside the house, ~40 yards from the trailer. Worked like a charm.

Subbed to get ‘em down. Cleanup is on the landscapers! They have an excavator and skid-steer.

    How'd it go today?

Started a 3-4 day job today that I bid the week before I broke my collarbone. I was in significantly better shape 14 weeks ago than I am now! Got the first four down, (pines), two of which were 95’ and 100’ respectively. Swung from the 100’-er to its 80’ neighbor and rigged it down from a block...
