Got to meet and hold Joel a few minutes ago. Grabbed a pic of his big sister meeting him.

    How'd it go today?

They’re not wanting to release Emily and Joel until she can provide an address for where he was born...😳😫 So I’m perusing maps (satellite view), helping her come up with a viable address. Born in the car at 4:00 in the morning...on the side of a rural highway...in the rain...and Karen wants an...

I, for one, am thankful there were old men like Uncle Hamp. Some folks deny they existed.

    How'd it go today?

Feeling caged waiting on this collarbone to heal. I’m not used to being still at all. Managed to practically single-handedly mount the scope on my BIL’s Savage MSR-10 Hunter. Boresighted it, then got it zeroed in 5 shots. (Him shooting. I can’t shoot currently...😢)

    How'd it go today?

My wife had my F-250 detailed for my birthday. Looks as good as the day I bought it, 6-1/2 years ago! Almost 26k miles on it now. She says I’m hard to buy for....I suggested a gun, but she did not approve...

    How'd it go today?

Well, it finally knit during the night. Now to keep it as immobile as possible for a few days for the initial healing to get going. Doc said to start light movement at three weeks, then check on therapy. I told him my goals were likely way beyond their goals so I’ll handle my own therapy.

Glad to have broken clavicle off my bucket list....I have a very hard time being still. This is, as you said, “maddening”.

    How'd it go today?

Thanks Gary. My problem is, I can tell when it’s in the right position, and have to somewhat try to keep it there. When I relax, it settles out of position. I have figured out how to sleep with it “in”, so I’m hoping it knits during the night one night. The 8 holds my shoulders back, which aids...

Went to ortho clinic last Tuesday. They said no surgery, just figure-8 brace and sling.

    How'd it go today?

I’ve been wearing a loose muscle shirt or tank top every day. I’ve learned to get one on/off without much pain. Do you recall how long it was until the bone “set”? This afternoon makes a week and mine hasn’t set yet. It’s getting better but still moves around. And how long before you could...

    How'd it go today?

They operate on few collarbones these days. It will heal without surgery. Just takes time to set. Cory, I was bush hogging a trail down to my shooting house. Went under a bowed over tree. Last week my dad had gone under the highest point. I wanted to widen the swath beneath it so I held to the...

    How'd it go today?

Awesome. Day six of sitting/laying around trying to get a broken collarbone to heal. Anyone here had that before? I’ve never been a patient person and this is nagging at me. I can pull/shift until it’s right where it needs to be...get up to go to the bathroom...reach for a glass...anything...and...

    How'd it go today?

Just under six hours with the dozer and my burn piles are pushed up and ready to burn, and several of my other spots are pushed off and opened back up for more dumping. $650 well spent.

Almost done laying brick...should finish in the morning. He’s taking my old 1-ton dump truck, my old shingle lift and my old 4-wheeler as payment....win-win!
